How much will it cost me to meet with you?

Nothing.

As independent agents, we are paid by the insurance carriers we represent, and we represent all the big players in Maine. It is our job to learn about all the plans available in our service area, so that we can find the best fit for you.

When can I sign up for Medicare?

If you are eligible for Medicare, your initial enrollment period for Part A and Part B begins three months before the month of your 65th birthday and ends three months after it. For example, if your 65th birthday is in June, your enrollment period will extend from March 1 through September 30. If you join during one of the 3 months before you turn 65, coverage will begin the first day of the month you turn 65. If you join during the month you turn 65 or during one of the 3 months after your turn 65, coverage will begin the first day of the month following the month you enroll.

How much will Medicare insurance cost me?

Exact costs will depend upon the path and the plan that you choose; Original Medicare, a Medicare Advantage plan, or a Medicare Supplement plan. The best option for you will depend on your particular circumstances; your work history and status, your marriage status, your health, your doctors, and your medications. When we meet with you, we will review your circumstances and your goals and prepare you for the costs associated with each option so that you can make an informed decision.

In 2024:

  • the Part A premium is $0 for most people

  • the Part B premium is $174.70 for most people

  • maximum out-of-pocket, deductibles, & co-pays vary between plans

Are you licensed to sell insurance?

Yes, we are licensed by the State of Maine to sell insurance. And, in order to serve as independent agents with the ability to represent more than one plan, we certify with each of our carriers every year. This involves studying plans, understanding updates and changes, and submitting to testing in order to be certified.
